70 F-85 W-31 With 10K Original Miles

Here's a few pictures of my buddy's 70 F-85 W-31 he bought new. I raced against this car back in the early 70's when I ran stock eliminator. He sold the car and it went up north and was restored. He found the car in 2000 and bought it back. The only options the car had was tinted glass, the trim around the windows, wood grain dash and radio delete. He has the dealer invoice that shows the options. When the car was restored, the parts that were natural were left bare and they have oxidized over time and it needs freshened up under the hood. The interior is totally original except he replaced the rubber mat with carpet because of weight. The guy who restored it added the rally pac. The car originally had gold stripes but were painted black by the restorer. He also has the NOS dog dish caps that have never been installed. He kept them when he sold the car and still has them. My buddy saw this and told me that he ordered the car with the carpet instead of the rubber mat,my bad.

Here is a similar one I have always liked. Not sure who owns it though.

Nice rare car, F85 post coupe, bench seat column shift, left original, nice indeed. There's a green car Id actually "love" to own. Good story.

That is a sweet ride. The gold stripes would definately look better.

A really nice time capsule. I don't mind the paint change, carpet or U21 option changes. I'd definitely go back and get those dog dish caps though. Love the dash with no vents! Does it also have the deck wing?

I'm with the others, more pics please....
