for sale: 1966 Delta 88 95k original miles
Hi I am selling my 4 dr 1966 Oldsmobile Delta 88 daily driver. This is an unmolested, all original with factory 425 cubic inch, 4 barrel Quadrajet , 375hp! high compression engine, with just a hair over 95,000 original miles, runs excellent. It is currently registered to its original CA black plates, which are included with the car. I drive to Oceanside, 70 miles round trip, 3 days a week. I recently replaced water pump, radiator, upper and lower radiator hoses, fuel pump, plug wires, plugs, coil, cap, rotor, condensor, Interstate battery, battery cables, and the rear axle bearings. had a complete exhaust system, ($450+) installed 1000 miles ago. I also had 4 new tires installed with replacement certificates for the tire if any damage occurs. I did a compression check, all cylinders are @ 175-180 psi. I am the second registered owner of this car, it was donated to the San Diego automotive museum last year, when I purchased it from them. It had sat for 15 years in the original owner's garage until his son donated it in 2007. the car has been repainted once outside only back in the 70's. the seats, panels, headliner, and even the carpet is original. The dash and headliner are perfect! car is registered to its original CA black plates, with the San Diego Oldsmobile dealer frame from where it was purchased, i also have the owner's manual, factory service manual, and warranty booklet with identity plates in the glovebox. This car runs great, has plenty of power, brakes and power steering work perfect. has factory A/C currently not hooked up, needs A/C clutch. car has never been in an accident, straight and rust free . The trunk light goes on when you open the trunk, the map light goes on when you open glovebox, overhead light goes on when you open doors. The wiper switch has been replaced with aftermarket, but the wipers still work fine, The car has working cruise control installed when the car was purchased new. The A/C unit is factory installed,. but is currently inoperative due to broken A/C clutch.
There is no rust on this car, other than a few tiny spots of surface rust where the paint is worn through. It is a super solid car, never been wrecked, would only need a quick sanding before painting, no body work. All chrome is present and in great shape, you will not find a nicer unmolested original delta.
This car gets compliments everywhere I go. The original jacking/ tire change instruction stickers are still inside the giant trunk, as is the original trunk lining. please ask any questions. The car is currently registered through sept 2009, and is ready to be driven wherever need be. The car runs perfect once warmed up, but it has a slight stumble when cold first thing in the morning, but after that it starts and runs like a top all day long, drives like dream, and stops on dime. turn signals, brake lights, headlights, and high beams work perfect. I am asking $2,500 for the car, thanks, Josh
