69w30 block????
Good morning,
Just picked up a 1969 400G block.
The story goes that the original owner pulled the block because it was smoking and replaced iit with another in the mid 70's.
The car that this block was from is supposedly a W30. The car was white and in the OHIO area. The block is all there minus the carb and dist. The original D heads are still there and when we took the cam out sure enough it is a 569 cam The crank is still there and I do have the original pistons..etc. I know it's hard to tell if this a w30 engine but you never know,
I hope someone has this car out there. Would love to get this back to you.
The partial VIN on the block is 39M282XXX.
Let me know if you need more information.
Cheers,
Sam

You got my hart pumpin there for a minute but sigh I have three of the numbers that match but not all 9m2. I've had my car since 1983 and it is factory cameo white 50/50 paint code. I don't know where my car origanly came from but the story was when I got the car the orignal motor was blown up and replaced with a junkyard 350, that would have been awsome it would of partialy documented my car as a real w30
