69 Toronado spare tire

Does anyone have a picture(s) or owner manual illustration of how the spare tire and jack where supposed to be mounted in the trunk? I don't have an owners manual

Best I can do is this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Oldsmob...ht_1567wt_1026

One of those should be reasonable enough in price to solve your problem and add something to the car!

I saw this post earlier and forgot about it.

The spare goes in the deep well at the front of the trunk compartment. Yes, it's clumsy, yes, it is a PITA to put it in there and worse to get it out. It should be put in with the outer face of the wheel toward the rear of the car and the valve stem toward the top for access.

The jack and tire changing tools fit into a molded styrofoam case which is often missing. The jack mast, hook and lug wrench fit in it and then a black painted cardboard sleeve slips over the styrofoam to hold it all together. It mounts against the spare wheel on the trunk floor and is held in place by the jack base. There is a threaded J-hook that goes thru one of the wheel cutouts and snags the front trunk wall. This hook and a wing nut hold the jack base and case against the spare tire assembly.

Yes, I know I need to learn how to post pics.
