69 Delta 88 conv. with a/c..rare?
It's uncommon. Factory A/C wasn't exactly common in any carline except for luxury models up till the mid-70s, or unless you were in the Deep South.
Most convertible buyers had the same idea- if it's hot, put the top down and enjoy the breeze.
Now if you're asking rare as in you'll be able to make a killing selling, no.
For that matter, it was the same with fully loaded examples. I find that people who have never lived in a time when cars weren't fully equipped have trouble fathoming there was a time when a fully loaded car was an exception. They were also a hard sale for most dealers because buyers didn't want to spend the extra money or didn't like the idea of extra equipment that might break and cost a wad to fix down the road. 'Course now when even a KIA or Hyundai has power windows and A/C standard...

Uncommon is probably a better word. My fingers weren't crossed hoping to retire. I thought a/c in a convertible may have been a pretty limited production type. It was last licensed in Alabama years ago. It included a bronze plate attached to the dash saying it was specially built for a fellow named A. C. Mott. How it got to Seattle could be an interesting story.
