Thanks all.

Budget option: Rust-Oleum 249068 Satin Paprika spray paint. Very close in color but a bit flat in sheen.

See the other CO thread Indy_68_S posted for pic of my air cleaner using the Supercars paint.

However, if yours is a Cutlass with a 350, believe the air cleaner should be black, not red ?

2bbl = black
4bbl = red

Changed to all black in '70 (IIRC)

Dupli-color Red

I found that the Dupli-Color DE-1632 Chrysler Red is a very close match to the original color. It is easy to find at most auto part stores so no special order or shipping charges. It is their ceramic heat paint which is good to 500 degrees. I used their grey primer as a base so the color would stay bright. This is the air cleaner I did for my 64 Cutlass with a 350. I like how it came out.

It’s actually:
Low compression = black
High compression = red

I have a 68 455 2bbl high compression motor with a red air cleaner.

Thanks. I guess I never noticed that difference on small blocks.

You know it! Works well when I can't hang stuff, plus easy portability for keeping things in the sun. All she said was I guess I don't need to iron anymore. She did end up getting a new one out of it. But all in all a great paint bench.
