69 442 hood stripes
Were the stripes color chosen by the buyer. That is, could one pick black white and so on, or was it a case of this color car gets this color stripes. I presume it was the buyers choice. If that's the case, can someone tell me what the color choices were.
Thanks

I'll take a stab. Yes and no. GM had "suggested color combos". Most anything could be ordered and deleted. A good example would be known 1970 yellow car blue stripes. That was ordered.
White Black Gold Blue Red

Thanks for the help. The car is Nassau blue/turquoises color. It has black interior. I thought that white or black might be a bit too contrasting. I was thinking some type of silver or gun metal type color. I'll spray up some paper copies of the stripes and see how they look.

Original recommendation for stripes with Nassau blue was black, white or blue.

If you ordered it, you could get whatever you wanted, but they would recommend combos. Lot cars were made to their recommended combos. I have seen a blue on blue 442, a blue on yellow 442, and a yellow on red 442.
I would think a black 442 convert with green interior, stripe, and top would be fun.
