68 Chevelle 10 bolt in a 72 Cutlass

68 Chevelle 10 bolt in a 72 Cutlass

Both are 10 bolts, the 1 out the Chevelle is a posi!!! I don't know what kind of tranny was in front of it but the Cutlass has a 350 th!!!
What would have to be changed besides the driveshaft???

The propeller shaft should be the same length. The rear ujoint may have to be changed depending on bearing cap sizes.

Remember that some Olds A body were built with the Chevy rear end from the factory. I think mostly in the 68-72 Canadian built cars. Mine is one of them. It can not be a difficult swap.

I have found that Olds (68-72 A body) with "C" axles or "O" axles have the large cap ujoints while most Chebbys have the small cap. Precision joint 372 is a combo joint that has small caps on one axis and large on the other.
