67 cutlass shifter backing plate

Anyone know where I can buy a new plastic piece that is glued onto the chrome backing shifter plate for a 67 olds cutlass supreme power glide? I just ordered the shifter lens but am having a time finding the plastic piece that is glued onto the chrome plate. They seem to get scratched and nicked and look cosmetically unappealing. Anyone know either how to repair? or find a new replacement? Sorry I don't have a picture , but I'm hoping someone here know what I'm talking about...Thanks

First off, the transmission in your 67 is not a Powerglide. It is a Super Turbine 300. I would look for something in the Chevelle line to replace your lens. Since both have the same shift pattern, you might be able to cut up a Chevy piece and glue it to your shifter body to have a good shift pattern.

I assume you are talking about the shift indicator lens?

Fusick sells repros for the three speed, but not the two speed, at least not shown in their catalog. Might want to give them a call anyway.

1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Console Base and Shifter Plate 1 5.JPG Hey Joe This is the shifter backing plate. You can see the shifter lens ( you have pictured ) In the middle. The outside frame of this plate is solid chrome whereas the nicked up flat area around the lens ( looks like ugly dirty chrome ) that meets the outside frame is some sort of chrome plastic ( or something ) that peels off the plate.
Mine looks identical to this one and was looking for a replacement peel off piece. Don't know what that piece is called or even if it is available.
