Painting axle backing plate

I would like to use a rust converter or encapsulator and then paint my axle backing plate. My concern is using products which can handle the heat generated by the drum brakes. Anyone have some experience or suggestions?

POR - 15 sells paint designed for exhaust manifolds - in light grey, dark grey and black that are capable of handling around 1400 degrees. You must have alot of love for your backing plates!
