I am considering purchasing a 67 442.
The deck lid looks like it needs replacing doesn't look like repos are available.
What other parts are hard to find/expensive for a 67 442?

There are plenty of doner cars that are being stripped for body parts that are not available in the aftermarket. Almost all mechanical parts are available through your local parts store or any of the internet suppliers. Automatic trans parts are a challenge with the switch pitch.

 

Depends on what level of restoration you want to go to.
New service replacement parts are very pricey.

 

If the hood is nice you are ok.

 

The 442 is a Cutlass Supreme with different trim and powertrain. 442 specific items are hard to find affordably, and the parts that didn't last long from any Cutlass are also hard to find affordably. Be careful of jamokes posting "W-30 Widget Here, PRIMO DOLLAR!!!" when it was on every A body in the company of the current model.

 

The deck lid is the same across all models of the 1966 and 1967 F85/Cutlass line. Many other body parts are also the same.
