'67 442, brake lamp bulb replacement

'67 442, brake lamp bulb replacement

And another simple question
How do you replace the bulb. Looks like the red dash mounted cover turns off. Just don't want to mess anything up.
How do you remove it in order to replace the bulb?

Spring loaded I believe, much like a turn/tail bulb. Reach up behind and push the bulb holder a little towards the red lens. Turn one or both CCW a bit and it should pop apart.

Service manual or a unt f/s such as on epay might give a good photo or illustration.

I believe the red lens unscrews then push and twist the lamp CCW.
