66 442 idle circuit port
Anybody got pictures of the idle circuit ports for a 1966 442 quadrajet carburetor. I am reading I need to drill mine because of the cam in the motor. They are suppose to be in the base plate and there is none in mine. I do see a couple ports above the lower butterfly valve in the main body but they are suppose to be below the butterfly valve.
Thanks, Kelly

Never heard of drilling the IDLE ports, I have drilled 1/8 hole in HOLLEY butterflies to allow more air at idle. Most perfomace cams need more air at idle not FUEL??
Why can't you just back the idle screws out more??

I have heard of drilling the throttle plates for a little more idle level airflow, thus fuel. He may have such a badass cam that it needs more than the q jet can give with the idle circuit. I wonder if the throttle is closing too much and blocking his idle ports.
I have some loose 67s at home I can photograph this weekend.

This is what I read on the internet. Because of the low vacuum the idle need more vacuum airflow. The motor starts pulling fuel through the primary jets, it drips out of the primaries nozzles. I have the air mixture screws all the way out and still drips. Wish somebody would have a picture. Also attached spec sheet on the cam.
