I’m guessing olds has a specific hood hinge ? I have never paid close attention to them before now
blew out my passenger side and bought one off of a 66 Chevelle thinking they interchange ... not even close
how are the aftermarket hinges ?

Never bought an aftermarket hinge, but I have had originals rebuilt. Better than new and with correct coating.

Where did said hinge come from?
Is it possible that 68-72 is different, and that's what you got?

Unfortunately the hinge is not rebuildable the front arm actually broke an inch above the rivet
the hinge came off of a 66 Chevelle
the hinge on the right is from my 66 the left is the Chevelle



I took a quick look around including the ring bro’s hinges ... I’m not about to pay 725 US for hinges

Back in 2009 I bought a set PN-XJ964LHRH from Yearone and reused my old springs. They have been working fine since.

Thanks guys ! I put a local ad out here and see if anything comes if not I will for sure will be looking for a full set .
i feel like a 16 year old kid driving down the road with no hood 😂
