61 f85
61 f85
My last restoration was a 67 Camaro, This is my first of anything but a Chevy. It is a 61 F85 4 dr.Parts are not as comon obviously.
Im looking for some vendors. Im probably going to put new carpet in it, Maybe some wheels. It has 13" wheels. needs a choke pulloff..washer motor, bunch of small stuff..Havent had much luck finding these parts at reasonable prices, or shipping rates.I know the 4r f85 is not a highly sought after collector car, especially the 4 dr, bu this ones in pretty dang good shape, just needs alittle massging..fun to drive..
Thanks

Parts for the 61-63 F-85 (and sister Buick Skylark) are very difficult to find. Kanter sells suspension and brake parts and I believe they sell carpet also. SMS sells upholstery and door panels. Engine parts are easy, since the 215 was built by Rover for four decades. The 4 x 4.5" wheel bolt circle is common to early six cylinder Mustangs and Falcons, so some wheels are out there. I found a set of 14" aluminum slot mags from a Mustang that I have on my 62.
The cool thing is that these cars only weigh about 2600 lbs.
