Hi! Thanks to the admin for the add! I just purchased a 61 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 bubble top no post. It’s got the 394 big block with a 2 barrel Rodchester carb and a 3 speed. The car is gorgeous and definitely a head turner. My questions is, what cars have parts compatible with my car? I know this car is rare and finding parts will be a good hunt. Any and all help is welcomed
Beautiful car. Olds built 19,878 Dynamic Holiday Coupes in the 1961 model year. There were also another 7,009 identical except for trim Super 88 Holiday Coupes built that year. The three speed manual is definitely low production, however.

In 1961 I was working in Iowa with my dad on a pipeline job. The dealer in the town had a Fawn colored 61 Super 88 bubble top like this one ^^. Only it had a four speed in it. I assume the dealer had removed the three speed and replaced it with the four speed Borg Warner since Muncie transmissions were not used in 61. It was probably a car a customer wanted as a special order.

Back in the '60's each division had it's own engineering dept.
As a consequence, on the B and C bodied cars practically none of the chassis parts will interchange between makes.
Some of the body parts will interchange however.
Things like windows, window mechanisms, inside door handles, and window cranks will interchange.
Some electrical parts will interchange, as well as A/C components.

I'm here. Thank you for the response. I have been putting the car back together. Now searching once again for parts. A/C brackets. The body lines on the 61 Olds are definitely eye candy, regardless of color.
