57 olds disc brake conversion

After searching and searching, no one makes a complete conversion kit for my car. I have decided to keep my drum brakes and not open up a can of worms. She stops just fine and don't have any issues. Shoes and all the hardware are new, just about 5 years old and I can always get the parts I need for my drum brakes.

I think brake lining materials have changed since the 1950's, haven't they ? I have a '57 and finding some parts is hard enough. I doubt I would want to open a can of worms either.
I'll probably use Coker tires with original wheels and hub caps. But, it might be kinda fun to have some aftermarket wheels if I could find something I like.

I agree, brake parts are better for drums than they use to be. Car stops just fine. I drive her about 2 times a week.

If you want to change to front disc then a Scarebird kit is the way to go. I agree that the OE brakes will stop fine though if properly maintained.
