2dr Sedans
#3
Until the 1977 GM corporate downsizing, the 1961 Dynamic 88 was the last full-size Olds two-door sedan. Dynamic 88 Celebrity Coupe in Olds-speak. Buick kept it thru 1963 on LeSabre, Pontiac thru 1968 on Catalina, and Chevrolet thru 1969 on Biscayne and BelAir.
1961 was Chevrolet's only Impala two-door sedan.
Cadillac ditched the bodystyle around 1950, after the Coupe deVille appeared.
Over at Plymouth they kept it thru 1971 and, in a masterstroke of marketing, in 1970 they trotted out a fancy Fury I two-door sedan and called it a Gran Coupe. It ranked above the Fury III and was the most expensive Plymouth offered that year. My cousin had one with a 440. It would get up and boogie.
Last big Dodge 2d sedan was 1964 which broke drag racers' hearts.
Ford built big 2d sedans thru 1969 in the Custom trim level. Last Galaxie 2d sedan was 1964 and it was a good-looking car, especially with fender skirts and bright window frame mouldings. They could have 427s too.
