Soenksen's Olds is a 1961, not a 1960.

You are right, I was wrong.

How that happened, I know not? A typo that slipped through despite numerous proofreads. Thanks for noting the error. It has been corrected.

You can add us , too. We won a senior BOC in 20L2 with our 1967 442 convertible. We also had the privilege of meeting several members of this board in person. Nice to put faces to names.

Congrats to all that helped put on the show this year. With less time to pull it together I think that they did a great job!

Had another good time at the Nats this year, it was kind of a homecoming of sorts. The first Nationals I ever attended were in Milwaukee at the same hotel in 1981 or 1982 and the car I drove to it (my Dad's red 70 Cutlass W31) which also happened to be at the Nats this year (fully restored obviously).

Between visiting with family and friends, shopping the swap meet and judging, I was able to clean our red 1967 Cutlass conv enough to snag a First place trophy. With a couple of cars the Godon's restored in the same class, no way I was winning any more!

Supposed to be going to Ireland next year but I want to do the Nationals as well because I hope to have my W30 painted by then.

Jim

I really wish someone took my offer that I posted here:

I posted June 8th and got no response.

OK thanks. Really hoping something comes back to the Northeast sooner than later. I think one of these shows was supposed to be near Boston but then got relocated due to some internal club drama.

It was this years Nats. They were supposed to be in MA. but the drama caused the GMO chapter to rescind their proposal & thus the Milwaukee Nats.

And the OCA-WI Chapter stepped in with short notice and did one hell of a job in putting on a great event!

This reminds me of the business world. In my industry, we have manufacturers who refuse to sell product to viable, qualified customers because they think that somehow it will hurt the customer and grow their sense of self importance. (i.e. drama)

All that actually happens is they gain competition instead of business.

What he said^^^^^^^^^^^^

Everybody I had an encounter with from the OCW was a great experience. I've been to over 20 Nats and I will put this one @ the top.

That would be AWESOME!!! Given it's still 3 years out but that should hopefully give me enough time to finish everything I'm working on lol.

I'm really hoping that rumor comes true!
