1995 h/o?

Anyone know anything about this car? Is it a fake? I can't find anything on the internet about them. Kid's friend showed up with it this weekend.

About the same time frame, the major Dallas Olds dealer was taking Cutlass Supreme's and putting 70 442 badges on them. Don't know if they claimed they were 442's or not. Just so happened the general manager at that time was a member of the NTOC.

It's nothing GM produced... Either a dealer or private owner added the decals and emblems... Do you know what engine is in it???

If its actually a Hurst/Olds, it will have a Hurst shifter of some sort.

It's gone back south. I don't have access to it now. I think it has a 320 hp W-31 in it though from the badging. Probably a 4 speed with a Hurst Shifter too.

Do you all know that the word "gullible" isn't in the dictionary?

Why do people get so spun up about cars like this? They are stick-on emblems, no different than the stick on chrome vents from JC Whitney. I can build a "H/O" Ford if I wanted to.

News flash, I had a 1968 "442" wagon in high school. Back then, I could even buy the grill and emblems directly from the dealership.

Folks try to clone cars all the time. Like you said, even "back in the day" it happened. I'm pretty sure there are more W-31 Hurst Oldsmobiles out there than the factory ever made. What's a real bummer is when people try to pass off a clone as the real thing. I guess that's why it pays to do your homework before making a purchase.

Seems like a pretty straight car. It needs some aftermarket rims and a "fart pipe" to complete the package though.

"Clone" is a copy of something that previously existed. This isn't a clone, it's a fantasy.

I thought it was a vanilla package with badges on it. It was funny. I walked outside and started looking at this Olds my kid's friend drove up from downstate. I started thinking they just put badging on it and called it a W-31 H/O. Couldn't find a thing about it on the internet so I figured I'd go to the best source I knew, Classic Olds. I thought it was bogus and you know, it would have been bogus even if it were a real optioned car. Slow, plodding, junk. With badges.
I happened to look at my hose reel. It is called a "Hose Mobile'! LOL! I looked for the H/O badges on that too! I found out it's a W-30 Hose reel. Just kidding, no W-30 badging. But I would not have been surprised if they were there.

I like the look of the gold on white..
I Am thinking of pulling my 86 SS red/orange stripes and decals and ordering the 87-88 gold set..
I'm sure many will bark.. but I think it'll look better than the red/orange stripe that goes around the whole car..
I'd love to see it photo shopped before I commit to it..

I would like to see a late generation FWD Cutlass with the 3.8L V6 instead of the 3.1L V6. The 4T60 transmission was the same one available in the Buick LeSabre and Olds LSS. It would be even cooler with a supercharged 3.8L!

Oh the cars Oldsmobile should have made...
