I have a opputunity to purchase a 87 Cutlass hood that is NOS in the box.
Does this hood interchange with previous year models?
what would be the differences ?
This is not the Cutlass Ciera hood.

What's the part number? If it's for a 4 door, that limits you to 4 door interchange. 4-door hood part number is 22515753 for steel version, 22515754 for aluminum version.

22515757 is the part number for a 2 door notchback G47 body style. This interchanges with A/G47 models from 81-88. It is steel. Technically incorrect for W40 models (Hurst/Olds) because the H/O hood (p/n 22521115) has 2 extra pieces of bracing underneath. But it will physically bolt on and fit.

There's also an aluminum version of that regular steel hood. p/n 22515758, but that's rare as hen's teeth. Plus you'd have to use the special hood hinge/springs and front pop up spring for the aluminum hood.
