1980 307 Headers

I'm looking to add headers to my 1980 olds 307, which is in 1980 Custom Cruiser frame but has a 1957 Olds 88 Body on it. Looking for a cheaper shorty header set up.

Your best bet is to go to a local exhaust shop and see if they can fabricate headers for you. If not, are there headers available for the 77-85 B/C bodies?

One heck of a combo there. You should have plenty of working space for the headers.

Unfortunately, no such thing as cheap shorty headers for an Olds V8. The Sanderson and Thornton fit tight. But welding is hit or miss on the Sanderson, one looked like garbage on my last set, not the only one out there. One tube is dented to clear on the Thornton but they are stainless. The Chinese full length are the best bang for the buck, thick flanges and nice welds and stainless. They do require a mini starter, Sanderson fit a full length and the Thornton headers do as well. The full length will add the most power as well.

I have the cheap stainless long-tubes for an A-body from e-bay on my '82 Custom Cruiser with a 455. They fit great except the "wagon braces" that triangulate the crossmember. The sedans apparently did not have these and now, neither do I
