Trying to replace some belts. Looking for tensioner to remove the Crankshaft and Water Pump belts. Any help would be great.

Alternator belt came off by loosening alternator bolts and dropping it a couple inches; what loosens the crankshaft pulley so I can pull the main drive belt?

The tensioners are built into each accessory. There is a slotted adjustment for the a/c, power steering, and alternator.

Thanks; looks like there are two holes that lead to bolts on the power steering reservoir that may be what loosens that pulley.

A year-specific FACTORY chassis service manual is the single best investment you will ever make for your car, especially if you're unfamiliar with the car.

I strongly recommend getting an original print copy. Reprints and CD copies often lose critical details esp in wiring diagrams.

And yes, the shop book shows how belt and accessory drives are laid out and how to properly tension the belts. Oldsmobile even had a belt tension gauge with specs.

There are THREE fasteners that hold the PS pump in place, two bolts on the front behind the pulley and a nut at the bottom rear. All three need to be loosened. From the perennial belt squeal threads:
