1971 Cutlass Keys lost

I apologize up front for any forum redundancy. I have a 71 Cutlass Convt and unfortunately I've locked myself out. On top of that, I have lost the only door key I had. I know, I know...I should have a spare set and I do, just not to the door only the ignition. Stupid me I know.

So question, how can I obtain a copy of the door key. My door key is the same for the glove box and trunk. All helpful recommendations welcome, even expensive ones lol. Before anyone suggests taking out any key cylinders, I'm not the most handy of men lol.

Thanks all.

Send a pm to Joe Padavano, he tell you how obtain the lock code and can make a key from it inexpensively. However you still have to get back into the car.

You can get door unlocked with a coat hanger

The side of the lock tumbler has a code on it. Take that to a good locksmith and they can find the code in their books and make you a key.

FYI, originally the door and ignition use the same key and the glove box, console (if equipped), and trunk use a different key (the same one works all three).
