1970 turbo 400 downshift connection
I have a 1970 442 w-30 OW transmission that I just had rebuilt and they installed a single prong connector for the downshift connection and my wire harness has a two prong connector. Anybody know what it should be ?? Thanks------Greg

The two wires should be green and a black w/orange stripe. The green is for the TCS and the black w/orange stripe is the kickdown wire. If the plug in the end of the two wire is in tact it should just plug onto the trans and you'll never know the difference because the second terminal is just missing.

Trying to hook everything back to original, will be hookig up TCS switch on the intake manifold along with all vacumn lines. Could there be something missing inside the tranny that the rebuild shop missed, hence the single pole connector ??

Call them and ask. They probably left out the TCS pressure switch, which should...open, I think, that switch in 3rd gear and let your vacuum advance work.
The TCS system is pure junk, makes the cars run bad, and really didn't help emissions. There is about as much reason for leaving that system functional as there is to ask for random kicks to the nuts...ie none. Bypass it.
