There's repops for around $540
Personally I think it's highway robbery considering the cars don't bring in the $$$ to justify it.

Watch ebay. Recently there was an original top and base with an opening bid of $449.00 and nobody bid on it. He relisted it for $399 and it sold at that price. They're out there, just be patient and watch for it.

Well, you can do searches on 442, W30, W 30, Cutlass, Olds, Oldsmobile and potentially come up with different items. The first time he listed it the auction ended on Dec 5. The second time it ended Dec 10. Here's the first time he listed it. John

If you are concerned about getting parts that are "correct" for your car...ie-look just like the stuff that came on the car in 1970 then BE CAREFUL....
For example...the metal air cleaner base in the evilbay auction that was linked to above....it's not the "right" metal base for a 1970 car. The snorkel is the wrong snorkel so my bet is the guy found a more generic 4 barrel metal base and matched it up with the flapper lid for the auction. (Also notice he doesn't have the small metal inner lid for the assembly).
Nice try but sometimes there's more than one reason you don't see parts bid up (or bid on)...for that price all you are really getting is a used plastic flapper assembly that's so dirty you really can't tell what condition it is in.
FWIW---the plastic ram air flapper assemblies are an example of a repro part that was done very nicely in terms of detail and looking like the originals.
