I have to admit I’m drawn to this car despite various issues but what really concerns me is the absence of the original engine. I’m not a W31 expert but I understand that there certain unique items like the carb that are not only difficult to source but are quite costly. So, standard dilemma, is it worth buying and restoring or waiting and paying more for a complete superior example?
