1970 bumper jack
Buick, Olds, Chev and Pontiac could all have used the same rolling chassis, but I'm betting that the bumper design is different enough contours that a spcial lift was needed for each. Probably for the same reason a 1970 Olds Cutlass jack won't work on a 71/72; slight styling changes in front bumper design.
As far as I know, the part that would make the jack work for you car is the actual lift hook. It was different for the different model bumpers. Find the right hook would likely make the jack work. The jack assembly is listed in the GM Parts Manual Grp 8.820 but I don't have a breakdown of the specific parts. Probably was manufactured by a supplier and installed as a kit. Maybe someone on this site can tell you what the proper hook number is for 70.

In 1970 (Cutlass and 442) the hook or "lift" as Olds called it, has the number 406925 on it. The ratcheting mechanism has a date code on the rivet (ie 0B for Feb 1970). The mast is gold cadmium plated(4 sided but not square) and the base has U70 marked on it. The hook, ratchet, and base are painted federal gray in 1970. Other years had two other style masts, T shaped and more of a squared shape, as well the 1970 style shape. If you only are concerned about functionality, any 1968 to 1972 Cutlass/442 jack set up will work. (That is if you do not mind the bumper being pushed into the fender and the car being very precariously lifted in the air!) Lifts from other A bodies will have a different shape to correspond to the bumper shape. The mast, rachet, and base from the Skylark may work. Hope that helps in your search.
