1970-72 Cutlass - Assembly line pictures

Does anyone know of a site that has old factory assembly line images of 70-72 Cutlasses/442s being built ..?

The GM photo store has one.

Here's the link for the Oldsmobiles: http://www.gmphotostore.com/Oldsmobi...artments/1003/

That is a staged photo.

At the GM plant in Framingham in 1972, all assembly line workers had to wear coveralls.....no exceptions.

Not that it would make a difference, but that photo would have to be late in 1969 or early '70. The car is a 1970 442.
Probably had the same rules though in 1970 as in 1972.

Of course, ALL of the official GM press photos will have been staged photos...

I'm curious as to what exactly they are doing in that photo. Front end alignment?

My guess would be front end alignment. Not sure if this photo is staged though? I believe the last step in assembly would be front end alignment, headlight adjustments, then maybe through the water booth to check for leaks? The entire car seems to be finished, and this appears to be the end of the line for final adjustments before it leaves the building. Just guessing...

At first glance, I thought they were painting the stripe. At second look, I don't have a clue. Regardless, still a cool photo.
