I have a 70 w30 manual trans car, I thought the radiator was original, now doubting it. Did the 70 manual and automatic trans cars use the same radiator? My car has what appears to be the factory sealed plugs for trans lines.?
Andy, in 1970 W30 presented with either a 3 or 4 core radiator. Cars with ac received a 4 core, or with 3:91 rear end, V01 option.
Rear end ratio 3:42 received the 3 core V02 option. The bottom tank outlet is larger on the ’70 version radiator.
GM transitioned to the slant tank filler opening in 1971, and by 1972 all radiators came that way. You may also want to investigate your radiator cap too.
I’ve attached pictures of the correct radiator for the ’70 W30 4-speed with 3:42. Harrison stamp several inches down from the filler cap which is about at 1 o’clock with a non-slant feature; LH tank embossed I A; RH tank C A. The small capital A is the January month code. The transmission plugs are standard flat-blade type.
A 3:42 W30 4-speed presented with no fan shroud, but did have a clutch fan (OR 4949861), and the 404837 X water pump along with the KM (405461) 2 groove water pump pulley.
Probably more information than you wanted, so perhaps it is helpful. Credit given to past RocketDevo posts.

Not to much info at all, very interesting..I am pulling it today to take and hav3 cleaned and pressure tested, I will see what stampings are on it and post pics..I am sure the radiator cap is a replacement..lol. It will be interesting to see what stampings are on the radiator as the car is an unrestored 62,000 mile car.. appreciate the detailed info..
Update. I am the fourth owner, the second owner lives in upstate New York he just texted me back and said he did replace the radiator in 1986, he screwed up by not keeping the original. That explains it. Now I need to find one
I see your parts wanted post for a radiator. Check with Mr Shifty Sidney and RocketDevo on this site. I purchased a spare radiator for my car at the Nationals from Mr Shifty Sidney. I know RocketDevo has the correct part too. Shipping will be expensive, but less, if you just ship the tanks, but you may want to preserve the core too.
The Parts Place has Harrison 4 row re pops. Not an endorsement per se, but they are the only ones that I have seen with the Harrison logo re pops. I think these are made in the USA, but not certain. I recall them being around $800, so not cheap.
