1969 cutlass. Looking make a 442 clone ram hood
Have a '69 cutlass with a '71 455bb - looking for a ram air hood but don't see the style I like "70-72". Does anyone know if they are the same size? And if so what would I need to do to make it work? I'm sure others have tried to do this but I am new to this, so any help would be greatly appreciated !! Thanks in advance

Welcome to CO, Thornton Reproductions makes one with the steel frame that fits a 69.
I think you can make an original 70 work but I'm not positive.

There are several guys on the site who have done that. IIRC there's a slight modifcation needed to the rad support (something cut out?) to make it fit.
The car I posted belongs to 69CutlassAlex if you want to contact him and ask specific info. Beob also has one.

The "tongue" or "tooth" is different, too I think. Look around here for threads like what you want. It can be done. I could be wrong, but I don't know of any core support work other than mounting the turn-down lock bases.

I do have a 69 with a 70 hood. Only the 70s will work the 71-72s are different. I bought my car with the hood already on it. I don't believe any modifications needed to be done, it looks like it just bolts on. You will need your old tooth. I've seen repops for $600.
