Hi everyone new member here, hopefully this is posted in the right place. I am currently in the process of restoring my 1967 Cutlass and wanted to help deciphering some of the lines on my body tag. I can't seem to find info on the COSTOP29 line, what plant it was manufactured in, or what the 2-12-2 line means. I also want to note that I'm a Canadian. Help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
33617 = I think is Cutlass (Not Supreme) Holiday Coupe
2-12-2...build date...what Koda says make sense
OS = Oshawa
303011 is the consecutive build number.
9 = enamel paint. KK is Aquamarine poly paint. 3 KK would be the same color in lacquer.
C08 TOP29 could be vinyl roof(top) white, teal? Black is TOP27.
What color roof do you see on this car? Does it have vinyl roof trim?
936 is bench seat Aqua
Below is a 67 Chevelle Oshawa trim tag. 9 and RA = enamel paint, R being Bolero Red (lower body color) and A being Tuxedo Black (upper body color).
Remember GM of Canada was heavily Chevy based.

Thank you everyone for the great information! The color of the roof is mostly surface rust or brushed on black. This cars been painted a couple of times, however, yes the car did have a vinyl top at one point. It was white, I found these scraps under the trim this evening to confirm! I always assumed it had a black vinyl top. So from a production or numbers stand point is there any way to know how "rare" the white vinyl top is? Or how many Cutlass' came out of Oshawa that year?
No problem. Glad to help.
That level of granularity not available for Oldsmobile's. We do know the total amount made but not down to specific options and colors.
Those color combos were fairly popular, though I'm told K codes were slightly rarer than say main stream colors red, white, saffron, blue. White roof nothing special.
My 68 was a K code with a white top & pearl gut (parchment) Now resale red black/black. K Its actually quite striking. If I did my car over again I be hard pressed to not go K code parchment...with no vinyl top.
Regardless its a cool car to restore. You dont see many today, especially K codes.
