If the linkage and fuel bowl are correct, figure $3-$3500.

The best way is to ship the intake separate from the other parts. It's still going to be expensive but if the price is right,it won't matter. No need to build a wood crate, they can be shipped in heavy cardboard boxes, must be double boxed with a lot of padding.

Verify the packing is done right or even done professionally. Not worth the risk of relying on johnny craigslister packing abilities. Nothing would suk more than receiving broken rare parts after the shipper has drop kicked it around through several states. Have it insured. Fastenal may be able to provide proper packing as well as shipping?

Thanks guys, not craigslist deal, fastenal reviews not great, putting in heavy duty storage tub from H D, packing intake separate. Weighted a Olds four barrel intake was 52 pounds. Wrapping intake in carpeting and plastic bag and using expanding foam. Carb's and misc in separate double lined box, and insured for three thousand thru USPS. Guy was selling parts that his dad had thru hemmings. Thanks for all the help.

Hmmm. I have read so many stories about USPS losing packages and not even being able to track them to see where they went missing. Personally, I have had USPS not be able to tell me where a package was during transit even though I paid for tracking.

I would consider using FedEx. I use them exclusively with no problems. Most USPS carriers are women,no harm meant but they can't handle large heavy packages. FedEx is cheaper than UPS and I bet they are as cheap as the USPS.

FEDEX would be the cheapest by far.

Will check out fed-ex, have had good luck shipping with USPS but nothing this heavy. Had moldings get damaged and USPS paid off for full amount but had to show pictures of before and after damage.

how did you pay?

always use paypal..if they refuse, well theres a problem to start...and if they short or stick ya..you have recourse

..too much money not to have a back up...i always pay the paypal fees on my end if its big money..its cheap insurance for me, and they get all of theirs..and they usually cooperate..if they freak out because of the paypal its a huge red flag

cant tell you how many deals ive lost because they refuse paypal..but i still have my money and i sleep well at night..

If those numbers are the casting numbers, they are not the carb tag numbers. The carb tags were 7026055-front,7026056-center & 7026057-rear. Where are the pictures of the fuel bowl and the rest of the linkage/parts?

OOPs,sorry I didn't see the post about the parts being missing.

Maybe there is a CO member that lives close to where the seller lives and will pay him a "visit".

Got the intake all disassembled, two broken bolts in the exhaust crossover blockers from previous owner. Used some heat and rust buster to remove blockers and there in good shape. Will have to drill out the two broken bolts but shouldn't be a problem. Will need to locate carb linkage, fuel lines and air cleaners. Would anyone know a good carb re builder/re finisher for the three carb's? Did see the three metal fuel bowl metal tags for sale on feebay.

I sell a lot of 66 tri carb parts. I have the complete linkage kit, complete fuel line kits, air cleaners, the special tri carb bellcrank for the firewall mechanism & I also sell the carb bases if those are not salvageable.. I can also restore/rebuild the carbs. Here's a link to one of my eBay items and you can search the rest of my parts by looking under my other items for sale. DO NOT buy from me off eBay,I can sell it to you @ a discount.
