1965 442 Grille Treatment

Just wondering if anybody knows for sure. My 65 442 has the small grille sections between the headlights, on each side, painted flat black. I don't see any evidence of overspray. Except for the three center bars, the grille center section is the same. Bro's web site touches on this but it's vague. I don't want to put my shiny cutlass ones on if they're supposed to be flat black.
Anyone know for certain, beyond all shadow of doubt?

perhaps your referring to something like the item in foreground as compared to the two in back?

Yes, Paladin31, I believe you've hit the nail right on the head. Is the one on the left, and in the foreground of other picture, the correct 65 442 part?

Yes, I have ran across the same question before. I confirmed thru 442BRO. Most comprehensive site Ive found for 65 info.

Thanks Brett, I checked the link. It shows the Cutlass piece. Went back to Bro's site and found the correct 442 picture. Don't know how I missed that before. Guess I was focused on frame identification. I don't see any mention of the grill on Bro's site, but my grille looks mostly black, similar to the head light piece, and I see some of Bro's car pics are the same. Think I'll keep it that way. I'll paint my headlight parts the same before I swap them, as my 442 ones are pretty beat, and need re-finishing.

No, TK, but I went looking for it before, and didn't find it. Kept finding one page sites that didn't seem to go anywhere. I appreciate the link, and will definitely be joining that forum.
