1964-65 instrument cluster
On a 1964-65 Cutlass, has anyone ever replaced the circuit board on the back of the instrument cluster without removing the dash? I need to do some repairs and wondered if it would be easier than to remove the whole dash.

Big car or Cutlass? In the 65-66 big cars each of the gauges - telltale (gas gauge), speedo and clock can be removed as subassemblies without pulling the dash.
They’re typically removed by pulling the wiring connectors first, then using a 1/4” socket or hex driver to remove the cluster that’s not working.
It can be a trick to fish these things out without scratching the lense plastics. Which takes you to pulling the dash. Up to you. You can always cover the plastics in a layer or 2 of blue painters tape to provide some protection.
A/C cars are harder than non-ac cars since they have ducting which usually needs to be removed before getting at the gauges.
