Off the shelf headers for an SBO listed for a 68 and up do not fit the 64-67 cars as the frame rails are narrower. American Racing headers still makes them, but very expensive. BBO headers hang too low. In the past there are some people that have used the cheapy SS headers off Ebay, some have worked others have not. Periodically they do come up for sale in our classifieds.

The only thing made for the small block Olds in 64-67 chassis would either be shorties from Hedman or expensive ones made by a New York company. I don't remember the name of the company.
^^
What he said.

I have a set of Sanderson shorties that would probably work. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Oldswizkid, I may be able to help you out. I went with headers on my 67 Holiday Coupe circa 2001. It was difficult across the board. Purchased from Mondello, $ 450 a set IIRC and it took till the third set to somewhat fit. Still needed massaging by the installer and finding the right installer was a challenge in itself.

Now for the good news, the car sounded incredible. I would get approached often by people just to tell me how awesome it sounded. Literally got chased down by a driver just to compliment the sound. Would have people ask me to rev the car on the highways when in heavy traffic.

hi guys

Do you think this solution (see the video ) could be a good solution?
Keep the origonal headers 2to1 and make them a dual exhaust?

That's how most people make duel exhaust with stock manifolds. You have to cap the crossover port. You can either weld the existing stock pipe with flange fitting or buy something like below.

Thanks. My car has duals from new. Still has the option of aluminized exhaust on there. A whole 8.66 option according to the order sheet and window sticker. I did use the block off plate on one of my other cars and worked well.

Hi guys

I have seen on summit web site
https://www.summitracing.com/int/par.../model/cutlass
It's avalaible for 3 or 2.5 or 2.25 ich.

What could make me choose one of these? the size of my exhaust or the volume of the cylinder (330ci) or the compression of the engine?
I mean, the bigger the pipes are, the fastest the exhaust go out the the car, no?

Thanks
