1961 Starefire turn signal switch question
My turn signal switch is mounted to the top of the steering column under the dash with 2 screws. There is a "nub" sticking out in the rear middle of the switch to slide the switch from left turn signal to right turn signal. There is no connection from that "nub" to the column so when I move the turn signal lever it doesn't move the switch. Am I missing a part and since I don't have it I don't have a clue as to what it looks like? Does any one have a picture or can help explain this to me???
Thanks much in advance

There should be a drawing in the electrical section of the CSM. I couldn't figure how to post it from my 65 manual.
There is a cable on my 65 98 that comes from the TS lever to the switch.

Is it not possible that the switch with a nub is actually your back-up light switch. A bar inside the hole, attached to the shift shaft, below the nub is what moves the nub to actuate the switch. This switch is adjustable, left and right so that the back-up lights turn on at the right position of the shifter. I re-read this and realized that the B/U switch is in the console. Then there is a part missing to move the nub. Blink, blink, blink.

The back up light/neutral safety switch is mounted on the floor shifter. The plastic "nub" is on the back of the turn signal switch facing the firewall. There is a "hole" on top of the steering column under the switch. Something must connect the "nub" to something in the "hole" (some sort of linkage piece)?????? Does anyone know what I am talking about?

There is a rod that runs down the column from up at the actuator, just under the steering wheel. The bottom end of that rod has a loop on it. Loop goes over your "nub.". Held in place by a cotter pin, or something. Is it possible the rod slipped off the nub and is laying down inside the column?
