1947 Oldsmobile Super 8

hey guys im looking to get a new carb for my 47 super 8 steight 8, it has a 2barrel that i want to replace with another 2 barrel. does holley or edelbrock make a carb that will replace the stock unit?

Why do you want to replace the stock 2 barrel with a different carburetor? You can probably get a rebuild kit from Fusicks or Kanter.

to be 100% honest im looking for a customer of mine. and he says he wants a diff carb. more than likely he doesnt want to bother with rebuilding it.

I doubt you will be able to find an aftermarket carburetor that can bolt to the intake manfiold of the straight 8. If there is a carburetor available then I don't know of it.
