15" SS2's from what?

http://rochester.craigslist.org/pts/2837378196.html

What would these be off of? 15" brown SS2 with a chrome rim / no trim ring?
Are these a high offset FWD wheel from an early '90's car but the offset doesn't really show up in the picture?

The style of those wheels is identical to those on the '69 H/O and '73 or '74 15" version (minus the chrome of course) that i have on my '72. Also, i'd say those are bolt-on center caps.

I just E-Mailed the guy to ask what they originally came off of. I am perplexed.

You know I saw these when he posted them earlier this week and I didn't even realize they didn't have trim rings. Naples is about 45 minutes from me. For that money I should just buy them.

Pretty sure those are from a '69 H/O. Chrome outer ring, looks like bolt on center cap, & the 5 small bezels are the older original type. The bezels on the mid 70's through 80's were stamped a little different.

Whatever it was, it was brown.

That's about all I can say.

You should go look. if they are '69 H/O they have to be worth a heck of a lot more to the right person.
Kust give me 10% of the profit as a finder's fee

No the dish is too much for the 69 H/O rims. I think what they are is a bolt in center cap center that has been put on a new outer. It's an interesting looking st of rims for sure.

Disagree on "the dish".....look like '69 H/O wheels and you can check the stampings on the inner part of the rim for date codes, etc.

If the chrome is real nice and they appear original someone needs to snag these. Keep in mind if the chrome is far enough gone that they wouldn't appear real nice "as is" then the value is questionable (as far as H/O desirability) as the chrome outer rims are destroyed when you get them "rechromed" as they cut off the old outer hoops and weld on new chrome hoops....there go your date codes, etc and the centers themselves aren't anything unique. Same exact center as the very common 14" SSIIs you can find just about everywhere.

Of course, if the chrome was bad they could still be painted as is and you'd have a nice set of 15" bolt-on center SSII's which aren't cheap.

Must have been owned by a '69 H/O owner named Mr. Brown.

X2. They look just like the wheels on my 69 H/O (except for the paint on the center).

it seems 15 inch SSIIIs with bolt-on enter caps go for around 100 each so anyone looking for a set $225 is a decent price.
