air conditoning question

I recently removed the air conditioning system from my 71 Cutlass and want to know if I need to change the resistor pack to operate the fan for a non-air car or am I ok with existing resistor. Thanks in advance for any replies.

No need to change it, and nothing else you could change it to if you wanted to.

Leave the resistor pack as is. It has nothing to do with the A/C it is for the fan speeds on the blower.

Keep in mind that unless you are completely converting to a factory heater-only configuration, you need to retain EVERYTHING from the A/C setup if you want to keep heat and defrost. That means that you must retain the resistor, blower motor relay, vacuum hoses, etc. You can remove the A/C compressor, evaporator, condenser, and associated plumbing, but everything else is required for heat/defrost function.
