New Harness for my '68 442

Hi Guys,

I was attempting to install the new AC engine harness in my car yesterday. What is the easiest way to install it behind the dash without taking it all apart and standing on your head? Can you remove the AC controls from the dash?

Thanks,

Craig

Yeah, but you still have to stand on your head to do that. Remove the radio and radio plate and the glove box for marginally better access. Even this requires getting up under the dash. The 68-69 dash is just not designed for access once it's installed, unfortunately. Pull the front seat(s) out and lay on the floor to be more comfortable, but other than that, there's no easy way around it.

And pad the floor with heavy blankets! When I did some serious underdash work on my car the studs from the seat mounts tore my back up! The studs will rip your shirt and back to shreds.

LOL!!!! So true!

Maybe I should rethink this car restoration thing! Think I'll take up chasing women again! If I'm going to be accused...

Funny you mentioned that! She did ask what happened. She gave me a disgusted look until I showed her the project in the garage.
