Alternators

I've got a new engine coming soon and will be upgrading/installing the following:

Aeromotive stealth in tank fuel pump setup.
4 core radiator with dual 13" Spal fans.
All new Msd ignition.

My question is should I go with a larger alternator to keep up with the increased demand to run all these aftermarket accessories?

If so what size alternator should I run?
Where can I get one?
Need some info/suggestions.

Thanks

Yes, you probably do want to upgrade the alternator, along with the wire from the alternator to the junction block. I strongly suggest NOT getting a one-wire alternator, unless you don't want it to charge at idle. I like factory style alternators, either 12SI or CS130. Either will bolt to your stock brackets with no modifications, though the 12SI looks more like the original.

There's a 94 amp 12SI, used on the 1986-87 Caddy Fleetwood Brougham with the Olds 307. Remy P/N 20269, $61 plus core for a reman from RockAuto.

There's a 105 amp CS130, used on the 1989-90 Custom Cruiser with 307. Remy P/N 91310, $81, no core for new also from RockAuto.

So will these alternator fit a 76 olds 350 motor if they are for a 307?

Well, my original response was to someone who was going to put one in a 1968 442...

Yes, they are both dimensionally equivalent to any external-regulator GM alternator as well as to the 10SI/12SI internally regulated alternators.
