what would cause this wire to melt?, i'm still running stock points dizzy and coil. also how do i get the tire out of the connector to the firewall so i can replace it?

i tried searching the forums since i actually really don't like having to ask for help but i'm not too good with wiring/electrical

 

Look for a short. That wire goes around to a terminal on the starter solenoid.
