Anyone have the routing for power window wiring under dash? I have original wiring harness but was not one that removed from donor car.I know it ties into power rear window. Harness has multiple eyes for mounting but not sure where they mount.Car came non power windows and I am adding power windows Cant seem to find it in chassis manual.
Can’t answer your question directly since i don’t have a vista, but I have done this conversion on my ‘66 Starfire.
In my car, the driver’s side kick panel relay feeds a ribbon cable that runs to the rear quarters and the “T”’s off to each rear windows.
To put it differently, if part of your donor system is a flat ribbon cable, that’s supposed to go underneath the rear carport (and maybe under the padding) to bring power & signal to the rear windows. What I don’t know is what happens for a power rear windows, but your donor system should have a provision in it to power that rear window.
Part of your answer will be in the wiring diagram. Use the color coding to match up the wires you have to the locations of the windows they’re supposed to work.
Get a 1967 Fisher Body Manual. Do you have the isolation relay and circuit breaker? The Vista dash wiring is the same as for any other 1967 F85/Cutlass. The power feed from the PW harness plugs into the ACC terminal on the fuse panel. The circuit breaker is fed from the power stud on the horn relay. If you already have a power back window, the isolation relay and circuit breaker should already be in place on the car.
I know where all the wiring connects to relay behind dash and ribbon strip under carpet doors etc. Its the actual mounting of harness to dash or cowl I'm not sure of. It has eyelets on it.Dont want to screw thru into cowl and end up with leaks.I can seem to find routing for every other accessory but not the power windows in the service manual.Does have remote breaker on firewall and does plug in with power rear window.
You keep saying "eyelets", which usually means ring terminals. I assume you mean that the harness has P-clamps for securing it? The power window harness is installed by Fisher Body, so routing will be in the Fisher Body Manual, specifically page 16-2.
