My 65 f85 cutlass dosn't shut off when I turn the key to off. Is the problem in the switch, the key tumbler, or in the wiring? I can shut the motor down by dumping the clutch with my foot on the brake. Any and all help is much appreciated!!

 

Have you done any work on the car prior to this happening? Is the engine running smoothly or is it dieseling?

 

Car is running fine.

 

You need to figure out why you are getting voltage at the coil+ terminal with the key off.
