I’m trying to find out what size fuse goes in the rubber connector ( looks like it was short ) that is on the d/s wheel well, on my Cutlass, my car was in a body shop sitting and the fuse is not in there.
There are a multitude of different glass fuse standards. An AGC fuse is 1 1/4" long. It sounds like you have an SFE 30A fuse, which would be 1 7/16" long. AGC fuses are all the same length no matter the amperage. SFE fuses are different lengths for each amperage. The intent of the SFE standard was that you couldn't put a higher amperage fuse in a circuit designed for a smaller one.
the 30 amp fuses I have are to long, the connector isn’t large enough. Do they make a shorter size?
Yes, They make the shorter one you need.
I replaced my Fuse with ones purchased from Autozone or Advance Auto Parts, they sell them
I am at work or I would take a picture of what I picked up. They are made by Buss, If I remember correctly.
Gary
That inline fuse only provides power for blower high speed. Your blower should operate at lower speeds without it. If it is not, you have another problem.
Thanks, I will check my others fuse too. It sat in a shop for 2 years, got it back when they closed down, trying to fix a couple little things with it before the paint and engine get some work done to it. - it has a brown wire hanging down on the d/s near the fuse box, not connected that I have to trace.

Sounds like the wire that goes to the switch on the e-brake pedal. If you ground it the BRAKE light on the dash should come on.
