Hi All,
I am trying to install the bulkhead connector on my new harnesses to the firewall. As I tighten the bolt the connector seems to be cocking to the side like it is pulling the engine side in but not the front harness. Can this happen or does the connector pull together and just look cocked in relation to the firewall?

Is it upside down, are the pins lining up?

It cant be upside down once you snap the two harnesses together it will only go on one way. Cant really tell if the pins line up but the locators on the other side do. The pins are positioned exactly like the original.

If its cocking something is not lining up.

Ok I got it! The new connector has a retainer that holds the bolt in it. The original didn't have that. I broke the retainer out so that I could push the plug in by hand first making sure all pins were mating, then bolted it down fits perfect.
