Wiring Harness Renewal
Wiring Harness Renewal
Does anyone have experience with removing these types of terminals from this junction block? This harness was in rough shape but is repairable if I can get the spades out of the block.
Looking at the pic, it looks like they are the standard male GM terminal. You can squeeze them with needle nose pliers or jam something to compress the slot and pull them out from the wire side. I'll get a pic.......
One edge of the spade can be pushed to the center enough to allow it to be pulled free from behind. I use a icepick. Once you get it out you will see. If you have one you are not needing do it first. The female terminal is removed by pushing in a tab that is in the middle of the side of the terminal. These are called Packard 56 terminals. http://www.repairconnector.com/packa...-and-housings/
Got it... that's hoe I thought they came out but there was so much goop on the backside of the plug that the spade wouldn't release. Once I hit it with enough Brake Kleen, it loosened right up. Thanks for the replies.
