Wiring Harness that connects to rear steering column....

I was looking under the dash and saw the harness that connects to the neutral start feed, back up lamp and seat belt warning. Assembly manual Sec 12 pg 108. There is a 4th connector with a pink and orange wire that is not connected to anything. I was trying to figure out where it goes. From the Assembly manual looks like possibly it goes to transmission downshift feed but they don't show wire colors on the diagram. I don't seem to have a downshift switch either, was this an option? If so this mean when I stomp on it the car won't downshift automatically? If it's not supposed to go the downshift switch I can't seem to find anywhere it is supposed to connect to.
