Wiper Switch '72 Cutlass

My wipers wipe just fine--they just won't STOP! I pulled the fuse about a year ago and mostly forgot about this because I just never drive the car in the rain. I checked Year One and they don't have a replacement switch for a '72 Cutlass. Does anyone know of a place to get one? I really don't fancy wandering around a junkyard looking for one.

Are you sure it's the switch? What exactly do the wipers do when you try to shut them off? Do they continue at full sweep or do they move up and down a couple of inches? If the latter, it's almost certainly time for a new wiper motor.

They just keep on wiping as if the switch had not been touched. I can go from LO to HI speed and the squirters squirt, I just can't turn them off--even though I move the switch all the way down to the OFF position.

Ground your wiper motor ! straight to the body & try that first They work off a grounding circuit that has to make a full cycle , into the park position. Kinda hard to explain so try it
